Consulting Psychology Resources

Consulting psychology is one of the branches of psychology that uses a consultative process to assist businesses, schools, nonprofit organizations, government, and individuals employed in all of these places. Few psychologists are trained solely as consultants...most are trained in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, or industrial/organizational psychology. The uniting interest for consulting psychologists is that they enjoy applying psychological knowledge in particular ways to assist organizations and individuals to be more effective and happy in organizational settings.

The professional association representing consulting psychologists is Division 13 of the American Psychological Association.

A Ph.D. program is available at the Marshall Goldsmith School of Management at Alliant International University.
